Lockport and Benet Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lockport had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redwings. The Porters' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Bridget Ferriter paced Lockport's offense, picking up eight kills. Ferriter got some help from Natalie Bochantin and her 14 assists.

Lockport's loss dropped their record down to 33-8. As for Benet Academy, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-2.

Lockport has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Fremd on the 15th. As for Benet Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Marist on the 15th.
