Coventry has gone a perfect 10-0 against East Windsor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Coventry will be strutting in after a victory while East Windsor will be coming in after a defeat.

Coventry is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They put the hurt on Rockville with a sharp 7-1 win. The Patriots are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight dating back to last season.

Kevin Johnson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dustin Menzel, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kyle Hecht, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, East Windsor had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 11-5 to Middletown.

Like Coventry, East Windsor also got a great game from a two-way player: Tyler Natitus. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Natitus was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Natitus wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JP Mendez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Coventry was able to grind out a solid victory over East Windsor in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, winning 6-2. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
