The Westside Seminoles will be home for the holidays to greet the Upson-Lee Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Westside scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 71-58 victory over West Laurens. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Joshua Harden was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Christian Little, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, it was close, but Upson-Lee ultimately received the gift of a 52-49 win from a begrudging Knightssquad. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.
Westside now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Upson-Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Westside and Upson-Lee were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2016, but Westside came up empty-handed after a 62-61 loss. Can Westside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
