The Kerman Lions extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Kennedy Thunderbirds. They managed a 34-28 victory over the Thunderbirds. The win was nothing new for Kerman as they're now sitting on five straight.
Kerman can attribute much of their success to Adrian Torres, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 152 yards and a touchdown. Adam Delgado did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Jace Demacabalin, who rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns. Demacabalin is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Kerman's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Kerman will head out on the road to face off against Mission College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Mission College Prep is ranked 253rd, while Kerman is ranked 263rd). Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
