In what's become a running theme this season, the Loch Raven Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over Lansdowne. With Loch Raven ahead 42-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Loch Raven's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meona Boykin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Boykin is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Destaney Harris, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Loch Raven is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Lansdowne, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Loch Raven will square off against Archbishop Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lansdowne won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Dundalk is on a four-game streak of home losses, Lansdowne a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
