The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs lost against the Torrey Pines Falcons on January 12th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. San Dieguito Academy had to suffer through a rough 78-29 loss at the hands of the Falcons. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Dieguito Academy in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost seven in a row.
Leading Torrey Pines to victory were Matin Madadkar and Dylan Kail. Madadkar scored 15 points, while Kail scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Shen, who scored ten points along with two steals.
San Dieguito Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Torrey Pines, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
San Dieguito Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlsbad is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 13 games. As for Torrey Pines, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Sage Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Falcons are ranked 37th).
