The Opp Bobcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 43-34 win over Daleville. The win was just what Opp needed coming off of a 58-30 defeat in their prior match.
Opp's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samaria Womack led the charge by scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Jalisa Smith, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Opp's win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18. As for Daleville, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Opp will take on McKenzie at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (McKenzie is ranked 414th, while Opp is ranked 419th). As for Daleville, they will head out on the road to take on Dothan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
