After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Camp Point Central, the Rushville-Industry Rockets were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 win over West Prairie. That's another feather in the cap for Rushville-Industry, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, West Prairie saw an underclassman step up: Braden Coplan scored 26 points. That was a full 55.3% of West Prairie's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Matt Whitman, who scored nine points.
Rushville-Industry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season. As for West Prairie, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-22.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rushville-Industry will take on Quincy Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Prairie, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Havana at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
