Snohomish hasn't had much luck against Arlington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Snohomish has six straight victories, Arlington has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Snohomish is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Marysville-Pilchuck on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-0 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Brayden Holscher made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Klein, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Apollo Mason also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Snohomish always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Arlington didn't have quite enough to beat Edmonds-Woodway on Wednesday and fell 2-1.
Snohomish pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Everything went Snohomish's way against Arlington when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Snohomish made off with a 22-6 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
