Fans got a thrill when Jardee Nessen and Colton Jensen connected against Stansbury. The longest such play in 3AA - North this season, the connection resulted in 97 yards.
Juan Diego Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Tooele, 49-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Soaring Eagles.
Jensen had a great week catching the football as Bear River fell to the Stallions. He caught 8 passes for 240 yards.
Vaisa Maile was a key player and the best on defense this week as Uintah lost to Park City. The 5-foot-8 junior.
Nessen threw for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 13-37 with 1 interception.
Nessen put up the best numbers in passing as the Bears lost to Stansbury. Nessen's favorite target this week was Jensen, who caught 8 passes for 240 yards.
Bear River's Nessen and Jensen have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Nessen has thrown for 1,761 yards this season, while Jensen, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 40 catches for 880 yards. The Buffaloes' Adam Pace leads the league in rushing yards with 486.
