It was a good run, but the Rockport-Fulton Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Alice by a score of 3-2. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Rockport-Fulton couldn't quite close it out.
Rockport-Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Alice, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-2.
Rockport-Fulton will head out on the road to take on Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Rockport-Fulton likes a good challenge. As for Alice, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 p.m. Tuloso-Midway is coming into the match with three straight losses on the road, meaning Alice will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
