While losing is never fun, Jacksonville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while Gaston is ranked 231st).
Despite the defeat, Jacksonville Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Noah Lee dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Lee is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jesse Gannaway, who scored 13 points.
Jacksonville Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Gaston, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacksonville Christian Academy will take on Alabama School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alabama School for the Deaf is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Gaston, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Glencoe at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Glencoe has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three contests.
