Grace Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyndoll English, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 19 boards. Those 19 rebounds gave English a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of AdAorA Mogbo, who posted 17 points and eight boards.
Grace Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Concord Academy entered their tilt with Greensboro Day School on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 14. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the Bengals.
Grace Christian better keep an eye on Justice Alexander. She was instrumental in Concord Academy's win, going 11-for-20 en route to 30 points and five rebounds. Alexander's evening made it 15 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Smith, who earned seven points and seven assists.
Concord Academy pushed their record up to 26-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points over those games. As for Grace Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Grace Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Concord Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
