They secured a 57-51 W over High School of the Future. For Roxborough, this counts as revenge for the 73-55 defeat High School of the Future walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.
Roxborough's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sahir Smith led the charge by scoring 13 points along with five steals and three blocks. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Jones, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Despite the loss, High School of the Future still got an impressive performance from A Jeune, who scored 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jeune has scored all season. Another player making a difference was G Banks, who scored four points along with eight assists and five steals.
Roxborough's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for High School of the Future, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Roxborough will be playing at home against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Philadelphia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 694th, while Roxborough is ranked 253rd). As for High School of the Future, they will head out on the road to square off against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin Luther King is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
