Norton won the last time they faced Attleboro, and Alex George did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Bombardiers 3-2 on Tuesday for which the team can thank George, who had 23 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times he's played.
Norton took Attleboro into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-6, 15-5.
Meanwhile, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional lost 3-0 to Nipmuc Regional on Monday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-17.
Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Norton, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Norton took their victory against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
