On Monday, Hardee suffered a tough 49-29 loss at the hands of Lemon Bay. Hardee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hardee's loss came despite strong showings from Phoenix Romeo and Shawn St. Louis. Romeo scored 11 points, while St. Louis scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points St. Louis has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Lucas Newcomb, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Benedict, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Hardee now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lemon Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Hardee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lake Placid at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Lake Placid is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Lemon Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Port presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lemon Bay in Florida (North Port is ranked 170th, while Lemon Bay is ranked 569th).
