Union County has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Bell Bulldogs at TBD on Monday.
Last Tuesday, Union County came up short against the Wolves and fell 44-33. Union County was down 37-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Bell can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Cedar Key by a score of 46-38.
Maddie Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bell's points. Dacy Graham was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Union County's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Bell, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Union County came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 36-28. Can Union County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
