Oak Grove hasn't had much luck against Satsuma recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Gators. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oak Grove 2.6, Satsuma 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Oak Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand West Blocton an 11-0 shutout. Oak Grove might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to Brody Black's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Oak Grove and bumps their season record up to 26-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Satsuma, their win bumped their record up to 22-10.
Both Oak Grove and Satsuma just can't seem to miss. The Tigers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Satsuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oak Grove might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Satsuma in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
