The third road contest was the charm for the Parkside Rams, as they earned their first road win of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Chincoteague 72-44 on the road.
Chincoteague lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jake Harper, who scored 20 points along with five assists. The matchup was Harper's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Jordan Harper was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists.
The victory got Parkside back to even at 3-3. As for Chincoteague, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Snow Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. After both having extra time off, Chincoteague and Broadwater Academy will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Broadwater Academy is ranked 293rd, while Chincoteague is ranked 288th).
