Mission Valley recap December 3, 2013
Arroyo lost to San Dimas 61-28 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nathan Coto was a bright spot for the Knights, as he threw for 249 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 35 yards in the defeat.
Arroyo led Mission Valley in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on Arroyo.
Jim Singiser's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Randy Amezcua contributed 70 yards. Jose Valdivia helped Arroyo's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 89 yards.
Amezcua was the best running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 70 yards as the Knights lost to the Saints. Coto also contributed to the rushing game with 35 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Arroyo's Coto and Nico Lozano have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Coto has thrown for 3,327 yards this season, while Lozano has 56 catches for 1,349 yards. Jose Moreno from Mountain View leads the league in rushing with 1,697 yards.
In 133 carries Marcos Lopez has put up 948 yards this year.
The Knights led Mission Valley in points allowed with 61.
