The Moberly Spartans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They managed a 48-42 win over Boonville. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Moberly also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Moberly found their leader in underclassman Cameron Doubrava, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Doubrava scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Bivins, who scored nine points.
Moberly's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Boonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moberly won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marshall at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Marshall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday. Boonville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Oak Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
