The Hancock Central Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime  game against the Warren County Screaming Devils  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  65-64 to the Screaming Devils. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Hancock Central lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Dontriel Grable, who  scored 15 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josiah  Ingram, who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warren County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jamarion Darden, who  scored 16 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. The  matchup was  Darden's third in a row with at least ten points.  Ra'Quavian Jones was another key contributor,  scoring 18 points along with six  assists and three  steals.
 Hancock Central's defeat was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Warren County, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Hancock Central will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Treutlen at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Treutlen has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 596 points over their last eight games. Warren County and Dublin will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Georgia (Dublin is ranked 255th, while Warren County is ranked 237th).
