The Edon Bombers will be playing at home against the Hicksville Aces at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Edon will be strutting in after a victory while Hicksville will be coming in after a loss.
Edon fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 43-32 win over Gorham Fayette on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Hicksville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight defeat. Their tough 57-31 loss to Antwerp might stick with them for a while. Hicksville has struggled against Antwerp recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kennedy Adams, who scored seven points. Ashlyn Steury was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Edon's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Hicksville, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
Everything went Edon's way against Hicksville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Edon made off with a 51-28 victory. Does Edon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hicksville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
