Cleveland Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Gentry Rams a 14-0 shutout. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Ava Morgan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Cleveland Central got a massive performance out of Haley Sterling, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Sterling has posted over her last six games. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Waldbieser, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Cleveland Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Gentry, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

The future could be bright for both Cleveland Central and Gentry: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wolves will try to hand Rosa Fort their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gentry will look to extend Yazoo City's five-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
