In what's become a running theme this season, the Lee County Trojans gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 71-37 victory over Northside. With Lee County ahead 36-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Lee County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Parker out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Parker is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Trecori Green, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Gaines, who scored six points.
Lee County pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Northside, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Lee County will head out on the road to challenge Veterans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Veterans will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Lee County is ranked 16th). As for Northside, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Houston County at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th.
