The Fideles Christian Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fideles Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Spartans like a good challenge.
Even though Georgia Force Christian scored an imposing 71 points on Friday, Fideles Christian still came out on top. Fideles Christian took their game against the Blue Knights 78-71.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Xander Lipinski and Carter Mccarn. Lipinski had a great game and scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Mccarn was balling out in the loss, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Scholars Guild Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 65-42 loss at the hands of Lanier Christian Academy.
Fideles Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Scholars Guild Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-13.
Fideles Christian took their victory against the Spartans when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 68-42. With Fideles Christian ahead 43-20 at the half, the match was all but over already.
