The Franklin County Tech Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Mohawk Trail Regional 60-22 at home. Franklin County Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.
Lea Chapman was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Franklin County Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Goodell, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Franklin County Tech pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.6 points. As for Mohawk Trail Regional, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Franklin County Tech will head out on the road to face off against Athol at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Athol focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 back in December of 2023. As for Mohawk Trail Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Turners Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
