Fowler is on an 11-game streak of home wins, while Liberty is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Redcats will host the Hawks at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fowler barely beat Fresno Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Redcats were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday.
Izzy Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

Fowler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .606. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 12 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Liberty got themselves on the board against Sierra on Tuesday, but Sierra never followed suit. They blew past the Chieftains 24-0.
Katie Bandy tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Trinity Cervantes was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. Leilah Uriarte was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
Fowler might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Liberty in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Redcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
