Lincoln Southwest faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Silver Hawks were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over the Bearcats. The Silver Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lincoln Southwest got a massive performance out of Ty Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Phillips has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Caison Seymore, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Lincoln Southwest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lincoln Southwest's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9. As for Kearney, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9.
