After flying high against the Cascade Cadets last Saturday, the Brownsburg Bulldogs came back down to earth. Brownsburg received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 60-45 to Fishers. While losing is never fun, Brownsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Fishers is ranked first).
When it comes to explaining why Brownsburg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Lomax. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Lattimer, who scored four points.
Keenan Garner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fishers, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Zachary, who scored seven points.
Brownsburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Fishers, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Brownsburg on the road again on Saturday and play against Castle at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Xander Niehaus and Grant Porath. As for Fishers, they will head out on the road to square off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
