William Harmon Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Sussex Central's William Harmon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Harmon made ten total tackles and defended a pass. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making ten total tackles and defending a pass.
Sussex Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Harmon and Sussex Central will venture away from home to face off against St. Georges Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

A Season-Best Effort from Kahmaj Kearney Leads Smyrna over Caesar Rodney
On Friday, Smyrna got the W thanks in part to Kahmaj Kearney playing the best football he has all season. Kearney rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Caesar Rodney's probably not too fond of Kearney given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kearney saw the Riders), he rushed for 31 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 66 receiving yards.

Bell Posts Huge Game in 41-27 Victory
The second Sussex Central player making an appearance here is Malik Bell, and for good reason. He rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the season, Bell has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 181.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had four rushing touchdowns.

Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles from Sam Pucci
Sam Pucci produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sussex Central to the win on Friday. Pucci wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles (4.0 for loss). The match was his fourth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
This year, Pucci has averaged 7.8 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 3.17 total tackles per game.

Phoenix Henriquez Makes It Two for Smyrna
The second Smyrna player making an appearance here is Phoenix Henriquez, and for good reason. He picked up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 64 yards.
On the season, Henriquez has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 88.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three receiving touchdowns.
