Pope John Paul II lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northlake Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 10-0 shutout last Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Blaze Rodriguez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Trey Dieudonne was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Netterville, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
