Arroyo strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let the South El Monte Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Arroyo's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while South El Monte are ranked 332nd).

Arroyo's win bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for South El Monte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.

Arroyo will venture away from home to square off against La Puente at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South El Monte, they will host Bonita at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
