The Dymally Challengers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-45 bruising from Alhambra.
When it comes to explaining why Dymally lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amonte Mobley. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mobley posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Nyzear Hamby, who scored eight points along with 20 rebounds and four blocks.
Even though they lost, Dymally were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Dymally's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Alhambra, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dymally will finish 2023 at home by hosting Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Alhambra and Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
