Even though the Bloomingdale Bulls scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Wesley Chapel Wildcats still came out on top. Wesley Chapel sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over Bloomingdale. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Wesley Chapel has scored all year.
Trey Murray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. The match was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Sian Morris was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Wesley Chapel and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Bloomingdale, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Wesley Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next match is against King at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. King is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Bloomingdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lennard at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lennard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 550th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 196th).
