The Lakeview Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crossroads Charter Academy 56-22 at home. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Lakeview with their most commanding win of the season.
Crossroads Charter Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keegan Carnes, who scored nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Bentley Freeman, who scored four points.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview will challenge Big Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview is coming into the matchup with four straight wins on the road, meaning Big Rapids will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they will square off against Cadillac Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads Charter Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
