The Rowe Warriors will take on the Sharyland Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowe is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Sharyland's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Rowe hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Everything went Rowe's way against McAllen on Monday as Rowe made off with a 10-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted against the Bulldogs since March 17, 2022.

Javier Garcia and JC Garza Jr. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Garcia didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Meanwhile, Garza Jr. pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Garcia has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Garcia went 3-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI, while Garza Jr. scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three doubles gave Garcia a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Leon, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Joaquin Garza also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Rowe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sharyland's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Weslaco by a score of 5-4. While the Rattlers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 4-0 in the first period.
Roy Rodriguez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Luis Balderas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Rowe's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Sharyland, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rowe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sharyland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rowe was able to grind out a solid victory over Sharyland in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rowe since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
