Enumclaw is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while White River is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Enumclaw will host White River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Enumclaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
Enumclaw barely beat Auburn Mountainview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets blew past the Lions 7-1 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Hornets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Alyssa Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Lim, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Natalie Otero was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Enumclaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, White River hadn't done well against Orting recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hornets walked away with an 18-14 victory over the Cardinals. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Cardinals on their field since May 16, 2022.
Laken Elvig made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Elvig was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Kennedy Selander was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Wolff, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Enumclaw's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for White River, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Enumclaw has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .557. However, it's not like White River struggles in that department as they've averaged .507. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Enumclaw's way against White River in their previous meeting back in March, as Enumclaw made off with a 16-4 win. Does Enumclaw have another victory up their sleeve, or will White River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
