Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lyons/Sodus' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 42-27 bruising from Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry.
Despite the loss, Lyons/Sodus had strong showings from Budda Sirmons, who picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Darius Wood-Asberry, who threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Devyn Williams got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
East Rochester-Gananda's win lifted them to 6-3 while Lyons/Sodus' defeat dropped them down to 4-4.
