Lehi has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the American Fork Cavemen at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lehi focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
Lehi scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They were the clear victor by a 69-46 margin over Pleasant Grove. That 23 points margin sets a new team best for Lehi this season.
Lehi can attribute much of their success to Addy Scrivner, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Sammie Love, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. That's the first time this season that Love scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadlie Warren, who scored seven points along with seven assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, American Fork came up short against Westlake on Tuesday and fell 53-40. American Fork has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lehi has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for American Fork, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Lehi came out on top in a nail-biter against American Fork in their previous meeting on January 12th, sneaking past 42-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lehi since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
