Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Germantown Friends). They blew past the Girard College Cavaliers 86-44 on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Germantown Friends' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Girard College is ranked 27th).
Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abdul-Raheem Devlin, who posted 16 points and six boards. Those 16 points gave Devlin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amadu Mansaray, who earned nine points.
