Harrison County is a perfect 10-0 against Nicholas County since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Thorobreds/Fillies will be playing at home against the Bluejackets at 6:00 p.m. Harrison County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Last Tuesday, Harrison County beat Pendleton County 6-1.
Shyanne Ross was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Harrison County let Lexie Highlander and Jenny White run wild. Highlander went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run, while White scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave White a new career-high.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Nicholas County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past West Carter 13-12. The Bluejackets' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Like Harrison County, Nicholas County also got a great game from a two-way player: Sidney Sexton. On the mound, she tossed nine innings while giving up five earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. Those hits marked the first that Sexton allowed this season. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, two triples, and one double.
In other batting news, Nicholas County got a massive performance out of Peyton Boone, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Adams, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Nicholas County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Harrison County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-1. As for Nicholas County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.
Nicholas County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Harrison County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .528. It's a different story for Nicholas County, though, as they've only averaged .327. Will they be able to contain Harrison County's hitters?
Harrison County took their victory against Nicholas County when the teams last played on April 1st by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Thorobreds/Fillies repeat their success, or do the Bluejackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
