It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Blanco Panthers can now relate to. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 61-23 on Monday. Blanco was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-5.
Blanco's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mina Broyles, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Kaylee Romero who scored six points along with eight rebounds. Broyles is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Blanco's defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Coahoma, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.
Blanco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coahoma will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brock at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th. Coahoma is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
