The Warren Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Brennan Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Brennan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Warren is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Harlan just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1.
Warren saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Guerra, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brennan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Taft 12-2 on Friday.
Brennan also got a great performance from Shepard Morris as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Morris has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luis Roman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Jordan Gonzalez was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Brennan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matchups.
Brennan is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
Warren was able to grind out a solid win over Brennan in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
