After a string of three wins, Lucas's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mansfield Christian Flames by a score of 50-47. The Cubs lost against the Flames in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-19 score last time.

Lucas now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mansfield Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lucas will be home for the holidays to greet Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lucas is facing Danville at the right time seeing as Danville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mansfield Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Crestline at 6:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
