The Tyler Legacy Raiders will look to defend their home field on Friday against the North Forney Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Tyler Legacy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Royse City 34-31. That's two games straight that Tyler Legacy has won by exactly three points.
Kalan Greenhouse was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kavion Hall, who rushed for 113 yards.
Meanwhile, North Forney stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Mesquite 52-26. The win was just what North Forney needed coming off of a 65-26 defeat in their prior contest.
North Forney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kasen Mccoy, who picked up 184 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Mccoy was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 68 yards. Tamarion Crochett was another key contributor, throwing for 315 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt.
Their wins bumped Tyler Legacy to 3-5 and North Forney to 7-1.
Tyler Legacy beat North Forney 31-24 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Tyler Legacy repeat their success, or does North Forney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
