Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 13-13 at halftime, Riverside was not quite Northridge's equal in the second half on Thursday. Riverside fell to Northridge 32-27. While losing is never fun, Riverside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Northridge is ranked 270th).
Troy Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Troy Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Riverside in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 48-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Troy Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
