Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wickenburg). Everything went their way against the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions on Friday as the Wickenburg Wranglers made off with a 71-47 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wranglers have posted since December 28, 2023.

Wickenburg was led to victory by Jimmy Garcia and Isaac Delgado. Garcia went 8 of 17 en route to 23 points and three steals, while Delgado went 7 for 14 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Delgado a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Formica, who posted 12 points along with eight boards and four steals.

St. John Paul II Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Stary, who had 11 points. Another player making a difference was David Escareno, who put up ten points.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-17. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Wickenburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-38 loss against Glendale Prep Academy on the 3rd. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-32 defeat against ALA - Anthem South on the 4th.
