Etowah (Woodstock, Ga.) jumped out to an early lead against
Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) and never looked back on the way to a 27-10 victory on Saturday.
The Eagles put up 14 points in the opening frame. Etowah scored on a touchdown run and a passing touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, EHS was up 24-7 at the half.
Each side put up three points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 17 point game.
Lambert's only touchdown came on a 76-yard run by
Tucker Maxwell in the second quarter.
Lambert (0-1) goes up against Roswell in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Etowah (1-1) locks horns with Centennial also in a non-conference game.
