The Hagerman Pirates suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-49 loss at the hands of Camas County. While losing is never fun, Hagerman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Camas County is ranked 16th).
Despite the loss, Hagerman still got an impressive performance from Ky Kendall, who scored 17 points along with three steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Kendall posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Johnson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hagerman struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hagerman has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Camas County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerman will square off against Richfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Camas County, they will head out on the road to square off against Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
